About me
For years, a small voice lingered in the back of my mind: what if we looked beyond our everyday struggles that shake us up and throw us off balance every day? Working as a portrait and press photographer for almost twenty years, I found myself increasingly drawn to a quieter, more balanced way of living. After an exceptionally frenetic period in our lives, moving from Budapest to the Paris region with my wife, we eventually bought a small vacation house in the Creuse. We both felt the need to step back from our busy city routines, and this magnificent region of France — one of the least densely populated — offered us an idyllic opportunity.
I began remembering my childhood more often; the sensations, the atmosphere. Life seemed peaceful, yet the world felt immense and mysterious. As the pieces slowly fell into place, it struck me that what I wanted the most was to return to analogue, slow photography: to explore with a large‑format camera the landscape I’m lucky to have around me, but also to explore myself and that longing for the peaceful feeling I remember from childhood.
